Default Blown Amp?

I wired up an amp to my subs and everything worked and then i think the power chord touched something it wasnt supposed to and it blew all of the fuses. now when all of the wires are in it makes a high pitched noise and i dont know how to fix it. I hope that i didnt blow the amp, If you know what to to please tell me

try Re-wiring or regrounding..if it's still there, its a BIG possibility that you fried your OUTPUTS.

Good Luck

let me add to what happened. the rear 6x9's and the front 4x6's play off the HU, and the subs off the amp. the subs and 4x6's dont play at all, but the 6x9's have the high pitch coming out of them.

that right brandon?

Yeah-

I think rewiring the whole thing or re-checking/re-doing ALL the connections is needed here...there is also a possibility that the HU fried its output stages as well.

Good Luck

ok.. i was completely wrong. the 4x6's and the 6x9's sound fine with no amp plugged in. when we plug them amp in, the 6x9's have the high pitch and the subs dont work at all..

Try using a different amp (Temp) and see if the noise is still there..If not then its the AMP if its STILL there then its the HU AND the AMP since there is NO output from your sub (which is connected to the SUB).

How's the amp getting the input signal - via RCA's connected to the deck or a line-output convertor tapped into the rear speaker wires??
