Default side marker power wire?

hey!

i'm about to install the side markers for my ride and was wondering what type of wire i should use for them.

i've been thinking about just using the speaker wire that came with the alpine 6.5 speakers.... how does that sound? would it be safe or ???

please advise!
thanks

Personally I would go with a little thicker wire than that like 12 or 14 maybe. Nothin crazy but just something to carry some current respectively.

powerwire for sidemarkers. you do not need something as big as 12 or 14 gauge. thats pretty thick.

take a look at what honda uses for its lights...its close to 18-20 gauge. depending on how long the wire needs to travel, i say go about the same. its going to be easier on you during the install.

Personally I wouldnt use speaker wire, but if you want to it should be fine, you DO NOT need a thick wire at all, 14-16 should be fine
