I second that. For their price, EDK's are way better in SPL and SQ than RF's or Alpines.

:eh: uh people did you even read this thread (except for Will) !?

The guy already has his setup in his mind made up, and that 12w7 is going to be awesome running at 1000 watts... so stop suggesting type Rs, and K series...

He just wants a cheap beater sub to hold him over...

The punch subs XLC can be bought cheap, you can also look into older cerwin vegas, MTXs, etc.. and these will sound not too bad to hold you over.. but as Will suggested I'd say use your stock for the time being and save up!!!!!!!!!

As for impedence.. you will want to show your amp 4 ohms (amp will run cooler and give a somewhat higher S/N ratio and lower THD)... that can be achieved many ways.. from a single sub to multiple subs... we'll need more info on that bro.
Or if you wish for more juice you could show the beater amp 2 ohms (if the amp is stable at that impedence)

hit us up for more info and more questions

I have a 10" JLW0 and I love it. Just a single sub in a wedge box. I paid around $150 for the sub and box. It gets the job done and then some.
