Hey all I have a 97 integ that came stock with 5 1/4 components. I have some polk 5 1/4 right now but I was looking at a new set of components and was wondering if a 6 1/2 component set would fit if I use a spacer? I was thinking about a 3/4 mdf ring as a spacer. Would there be enough room between the door pannel and speaker? Some shops tell me no and others say yes but the door will cover part of the speaker which is not that big of a deal as long as i don't have to trim the metal part of the door itself. Oh yeah im looking at alpine spx series, rainbow soundline series or maybe diamond or ads if i can get them cheap on ebay or something. What do you think out of my choices? which do you like?
