Default Rockford 12"s

Ok, my friend has a 91 camaro and is wanting an ok system for it. He found some Rockford Fosgate Punch HE2 Dual 4 ohm 400 RMS/800peak 12"s. What do yall think? He found em for $199 for two, thats why they caught his eye. Should he get em or should he find something better, and if something better what? Not too expensive though, he's on a tight budget! Thanks ahead of time!

Maybe the 2002 models. Other than that Alpine subs are cheap. 2001 and previous Rockfords would blow the Alpines away easy. You rarely see Alpine subs in any decent competition vehicle. At least not one that wins anything. Maybe the new ones are different.

You can get a Kicker Solobaric L7 12 for $199 on Ebay which will eat the Alpines or Rockfords for lunch. SQ is awesome and SPL? Jesus.

$200/2 used HE2's? Can't comment, don't know if thats a good deal or not.

He was looking for something along the $100-$125 per sub thing so that kicker sub is too much. And by the way, the HE2's are not used....brand new!

Oh ok. Well thats pretty good price then I think. I really don't know a lot about US pricing

The kicker 12 will be much better than the 2 HE2's thats why I mentioned it.
