Don't forget a nice pair of interconnects while you at it. I jsut replaced my pos stinger wires with some rf that would normally cost 160 for 3 wires but they're on sale and i got all 3 for 40 from sounddomain.com they are older models though so i think they are trying to get rid of them.

and NO, profile amps are not any good.

ahhaha if only someone can afford that. i dont think someone asking on suggestions of what brands to buy is willing to shell out that much moneyh:

itll be easier if you gave us a budget to work with.

Ultimately, the decision will be up to you. Yes, there are certain name brands you can go with that will provide some measure of reliability, but YOU will have to decide what sounds best. Everyone's ear is different, so it is pretty unwise to ask what others think. You are listenting to your system...not them.

Set a budget for yourself and see what type of components fit into that budget. Listen to different systems and then decide what is best for you. Frankly, what I like may sound like crap to you, and visa versa. Bottom line is trust your ear.

My kind of guy! I'd choose Focal over Rainbow but that's just me. I haven't heard a set of Rainbow's done correctly so I refuse to truly judge them. I know a lot of people who swear up and down they're the best. I dunno though, Audium Focal's...MMMMM

Yes, Profile amps are good................as paperweights, to be thrown into the ocean, objects to be used to hit the owner of the amp across the head, etc etc...

Depending on your budget, go with the JL 500/5 five channel amp. Great SQ!!! Plenty of power and it'd run a pair of 10W0's fine... We need to know exactly what you're looking for before we can give you more recommendations.
