Default LED a/c vents

has anyone put led in their a/c vents? if so, could you help me out with how you got it to change from blue to red by changing from a/c to heater?

He probably means that he wants to put LED on the a/c vents, but Im sure that they have to have the blue and red colors on them, and then based on the air that comes out of the vents, a/c for blue and heat for red, then that is what will light up.

If you do this you will have to look for LED's that have some type of sensor with them so they can differentiate the cold and hot air, or somehow wire the LED to the lever that designates if the air that comes out is cold air or hot air.

I dont know if they even sell this stuff, but Im just thinking that these are the only ways that it can be done. I have never seen this before so I dont know. Just a thought.

not necessary. you don't need a led with a sensor for hot and cold. plus i don't think they make something like that. this is just off the top of my head since i deal with electric engineering crap. wut u could do is like...u kno the knob that controls the temperature? ok...you have a (+) and a (-) wire k? now your temperature knob is going to act as the switch for the led. now...you're going to have to use 2 separate leds, red and blue. connect both (-) wires together and connect it to the battery. now with the (+) wire from the battery, you're going to have to mount it on the temperature knob. SECURE it good cuz u don't want to electrical fires if that thing slips. Now on one end of the knob, the end where ur temp is the coldest, you got to mount the (+) wire of the blue led. Not quite on the knob. just a few cm off it. With the (+) wire of the red led, mount it on the opposite side where the temp is the hottest. Remember, you're not mounting the led's wires on the knob, but instead on the piece where the knob is connected to. The only wire that should actually be mounted on the knob is the (+) wire of the battery. *ALL OF THIS HAS TO BE DONE ON THE INSIDE OF THE DASH* Now on the knob where the (+) wire of the battery is, you got to make a little metal extension of somesort. Make the metal extension just long enough to touch the (+) mounts of the leds. Once you have done this, you're done!

Kinda see what i just explained. See the temp knob is the switch. when the knob is turned all the way to the left (cold), the (+) wire from the battery is going to touch the (+) wire of the blue led. Since the (-) wire of the leds are connect to the battery, the led will light up. When you turn the knob to the left (Hot), you connect the (+) wire of the batter to the (+) wire of the red led. When you don't want the led to go on, just simply turn the knob a little to disconnect the power. it's simple electronics. it's just hard to actually do the work. have fun and disconnect the battery first!
