a simple amp question
I have a 5 channel theater amp and I have a front and rear center speaker. Could anything go wrong if I connect both speakers to the center channel on the amp? If it makes a difference, the amp is 60Wx5 RMS.

If you connect both positives together and both negatives together, you will lower the impedance. By doing so, the amp will run hotter. It will either continue to run hot or go into protective mode and shut off.

yeah i don't see the point of running both sets of wires to the same speaker. also most movies aren't coded with rear center channel so it would be best to just not hook it up if you don't have a spare speaker.

I have another question then. Right now I have the rear center speaker hooked up to my sub amp so it puts out nothing but bass. Is there a way I can hook it up to get music out of it?

You are getting nothing but bass because the amp has a low pass filter on it. That means that only the low frequencies are being passed to the speaker. What amp is this? You might have an option to change the filter with a switch...
