Default automatic antenna wont go down

What is the easiest way to bring down the automatic antenna on a 95 accord? I will replace it when I get a chance, I just want to bring it down for now.

have someone push it down when you turn the radio off... it should go down.

Same thing I do with mine on my Prelude. If it's cold or there's ice on it, I just push it down or pull it up... which ever it is I want.

Just be careful when pushing it down. Don't just put your hand on the tip and push down... try grabbing in the middle and pulling it down a bit at a time. Don't want the antenna to snapoff or bend by pushing from the top. I only push from the top when there's less than 4 inches to go.

Your location says NYC (assuming New York City) I'm about 2-3 hours west of you... it's facking cold, snowy and icey here... make sure it's not just cold or frozen. No need to replace it if it just needs to thaw.

If you're antenna breaks completely (as in won't come up anymore) i wouldn't even bother replacing it. I disconnected mine from my radio and I still get good reception anyway. I don't even listen to the radio that much anymore these days.

In my area, Raleigh NC, i can still get all of the raleigh and surrounding area stations. There are some stations though that i can't get at all now but only because they are much farther away. Like a station in fayetteville i used to barely get with antenna but i can no longer get w/o (i never listened to it anyway).

If you were to remove it completely it will depend on what kind of area you live in. If you live in/near a big city it shouldn't be a problem.

I was able to put the antenna down. I will disconnect the power for the automatic antenna in the near future. Has anyone done this before on a 1995 Accord? Thanks anyway for the suggestions

My antenna is stuck down on my 93 Accord, how can I make it work again? The stock radio has been taken out, and I really need the antenna to work because I can barely get any stations in FL without it up.
