i have 93 accord and my darn antenna wouldnt go down or up. just for kicks i went to the dealership and got an estimate for repair, the guys aid around $300. wholly cow! 300 just to replace the antenna, no way. i went to circuit city, bought a generic antenna for $20 and installed it. this is non motorized but is coted in thick rubber and is flexible. has good reception too. if u need help taking out ur antenna in ur 4th gen accord, let me know and i can help. i definately shot in the dark and took it out, no haynes or anyhting, not that its a big deal anyway.

You can get a good antenna from Best Buy for about 50.00. If you go to the rear install bay (not the car-fi department in the store but the garage in the back) they have them. They are universal, have all the brackets for pretty much any installation angle, and they run with a higher current motor than any stock factory antenna. So it will just blast through snow, ice, and any thing else.

How did you remove the broken antenna? Is it behind all the plastic on the driver's side hatch??

Shave it and get a glass mount, like I did:
