Default which components

I think im, gonna be looking at a new pair of 5 1/4 compents cause my polks aren't working for me. I was thinking image dynamics, diamond, or ads. I want somethign with good bass responce to blend with the sub and isn't overly harshor bright. An ideas? maybe 300 or so.

if your using stock locations they should be a 6.5"
i highly reccommend the kenwood dual mags as they will drop right in with no modifications. they also sound great and can be had for about 200 bucks.

haha... jl is no comparision to focal!! LMAO!!

ads is really nice, but I dunno if you can have them for $300... You can get a set of new polk components for $300 though... Polk or Boston are going to probably be the best you can find for $300.

See what ive seen on the internet says they are 6 1/2 and some shops have told me they are 5 1/4. I still have the stocks and pulled them out of the closet to look at them. The cone area is 5 1/4. The whole thing is a little smaller than 6 1/2. If i take the plastic ring out mounting depth very minimial. Found some ads off of ebay for about 250 or so. but its ebay... Don't think i want another set of polks.

Anyone herd these focals? I kinda wonder if the metal tweeter is too bright for my taste. I tend to favor silk dome but if it sounds good then who cares right?

HOLY CRAP those woofers have some big ass magnets!! If you get those, you're gonna have to do alot of cutting and modding for that one.
