Default Speaker wire question

For the rear speakers what color is the positive and the negative?

I have a 98 ex civic.

Typically black is negative and white is postive. But some cars don't follow that rule. Not sure what coloring civics are but sometimes both wires are brown. The way to tell the difference is one wire will have a white line. That's the positive.

in honda's... they use a blue and grey wire combination for the left side, and a red and brown combination for the right... both for the front and rear, they are just color coded with stripes to seperate the front wires from the back.

Either way, the Blue and Red wires are the POSITIVE, and the Grey and Brown wires are the NEGATIVE.

...dont quote me on the side-to-color pairing I listed... they maybe oppisite, I forget. But I KNOW that the color-to-polarity pairing I listed is correct.
