Default Help w/98 Civic Basic CD/Radio

Greetings:

I'm trying to swap out my stereo in my 98 Civic LX and having a bit of trouble. Should be pretty basic, no amps mods just swapping the in dash unit. I've got the Honda Wiring harness, w/a basic JVC CD unit... acting like it's not getting any power, but I've confirmed with a volt meter I'm getting 12 volts to the JVC harness... double checked the ground, I"ve double checked the fuses, and the wiring btwn the JVC & Honda harness... even tried an old stereo with the same outcome, any thoughts?

Pull the battery off next time you mess with anything electrical.
