Accrilic better than lexan/plexyglass?
Was up... The dude at TAP PLASTICS told me that accrilics are better for building a box than lexan and plexyglass! Anyone know why? Anyway My new box should beggin production this weakend!!! It will have a one piece 1/2" accrilic face at a 35'angle that will bend down each side! It will basicaly make both sides and the top were the sub mounts in one piece! The other three faces will be made of 1" MDF BUT will be covered by accrilic mirrors! There will be 4 neon black lights on the botom 4 on the back and iether 2 red or blue neons in the front

I thought that acrylic was the same as plexiglass.....
Go contact Bobby Gately - he's the king of plexi boxes. You can find his email address over at sounddomain.com - just search his name in a the forums.....he may have a web site as well - try - www.bobbygatelyaudio.com - I'm not sure if that is right.
He can recommend the proper thickness and material for your project as well as how to attach all of your panels.
