clarion head units are ugly as fawk, but have great sound quality.
the dual 24 bit DAC's really help bring out clean signal from cd's
but that HU has no time delay..

I like the display on the second one better, but Clarion makes great sounding head units. I had a $130 base level head unit from them that sounded better than a Sony Xplod that costed $100 more. The sony had better features as you'd expect, but sound quality was a big drop off.

Panasonic... :thumbup: not as good sounding as the clarion... but it would look really cool if you got the Panasonic and added an aluminum trim kit to the car!
Kenwood... :down: It sounds ok, but is very hard to work and the faceplate is built like a childs toy... very cheap!
Time delay is also known as a Listening position selection, meaning you can actually control when the sound goes to a particuluar speaker... you even out the timming as to which the sound reaches your ears, making it sound as though you are sitting directly between 2 speakers... meaning better soundstaging. My alpine has this feature, but I never use it...
