go to rick's site www.raammat.com - not sure if the spelling is correct. He has instructions.
heh well what i meant was can i stick it to the carpet? or do i take the carpet off and stick it to the actual metal of the car? for instance in the trunk, should i stick it to the metal where the spare wheel is? or right underneath the carpet where the wood is?

carpet does not rattle. putting the mat on the carpet will be...uggg. just dont do it.
you have to remove all the side panels, carpet, etc, from your trunk.
if you dont have a lot to spare, try to isolate the rattle, and place the mat there.
