Default which way?

which way should i face my subs. im redoing my setup and thinking of having the subs face the front. so they will be sitting where the back seats were or should i turn them around to face the trunk where all the dynamat is?

since they are subs it really doesnt matter which way they are facing right? but would it matter if they were facing front since there is no dynamat like in my dash or anything?

facing your subs in different directions will change the sound coming from them.

this all depends on the box you have, the sub, and your car and cabin.

to get the best results....spend a few hours trying out different positions.

i have a sedan and like to have my sub facing the rear bumper.

in my friends hatchback, he faces it towards the window, so it will deflect right into the cabin.

try different positions yourself and see which you like the most.

thnx but unfortunately i cant try all those positions because im redoing my setup and making another box. my first box was mostly glass and i wasnt to fond of it especially since someone else made it.

my second box i made out of mdf and glass and i like the sound but i need a different setup for show purposes and advertisment. so since its a new custom box i cant make two. my car technically is a hatch. the sound was reflecting off the window in my last setup.

if i face them forward they wont have anything to go through. straight bass to the back of the front seats. if i face them to the trunk they SHOULD reflect off the back of the trunk and maybe a little off the window.

the new box is going to have a fiberglass top for shape and the sides and bottom will be mdf. if that helps.
