Default 4 gauge battery wire for amp?

Does anyone know if you can use 4 gauge battery wire instead of 4 gauge power wire to hook up an amp? I know the strands of wire are thicker in the battery wire, does that matter? thanks

Higher strand count allows for more current to pass. Will you notice it, who knows:dunno:

Youll find that using "battery" wire will be painful to work with compared to wire that is meant for snaking through a car. It is just much less flexible and soft.
