Default Question about car audio?!!

I was told to make a new theread!! I have 4 6 1/2" pioneer speakers in my Acura RSX '03. So I found out that the back right is blown and the back left is getting pretty close to being blown. Saying that I do not want to go with Pioneer again since it took only 3 years for them to go. I was thinking of getting Infinity my Husband has those in his Honda Prelude '01. They sound pretty good. Any other suggestions would be awesome?!!
Thanks again.
Mischa.

Both Infinity and Alpine make good speakers for not a ton of money.

I dont have an amp or anything just my Pioneer Premier cd player. 50 watts x 4!! I'd say $100-$150 would be my budget.

Thanks.

I've personally put Infinity's in a car with just headunit power, It didn't sound bad in the least. I actually prefer it over the Type-S line of speakers.

With that budget, you should be able to get two pairs of speakers that will sound just fine running off of your Pioneer headunit. Sometimes you can find "Buy one, get the second pair half off" deals on Infinity stuff

how about this statement...NO sub NO infinity speakers...

im sure we can all agree that they have NO bass at all... at least the type S will supply some bass...anything from pioneers from 3 years ago will be an upgrade though! this years pioneers are decent.

Ok thanks for all your help. I might just go to best buy and compare the Alpine & Infinity!! I used to have 2 10" subs & I went to too many concerts or live music and it really screwed up my ears that's why I dont have an amp or anything like that anymore.
Thanks again.

Again, having listened to both, the Infinity's supply plenty of bass response for their size.

Yeah since I can only get 4 6 1/2 since there is no Hatchback which sucks. I would rather have 6x9 but since there is no Hatchback in the RSX I cant. What get's me is how did they go in 3 years ya know. I've always had Pioneer in ever car I've had I've only had 3 but I never had a problem until now.
Thanks.
