weird noise from sub

Default weird noise from sub
i have a 97 honda civic ex, and just bought a 12'' kicker l7 and hooked up a 1000 watt kenwood monoblock amp and when theres no music playing the sub just starts bumping. does anybody know the problem or can help me. need help

Thats a pretty vague description. Are you sure the connections to the amp and subwoofer are correct?

all the connections and wires are correct. i think its the cd player. with my old system it used to make that noise too, but it stoped. now with the new system it came back.

Check your ground. That "thump" is tell-tale of a bad ground.
