Default Amp question

I just hooked up an amp in my car but for some reason its not working. I hooked up the power, remote and ground the way it should be but for some reason when I turn on the car, the power light on the amp goes on but then fades out.

I think its not getting enough power but could it be anythin else that can cause this?

Thanks

theres a couple possibilities - 1. your power wire is not the correct gauge 2. your ground is loose/bad connection 3. either your battery/alternator is on its way out and cannot handle an amp on top of everything

what i would do is check your battery and remote wire with a multi-meter and make sure your getting enough power, if your are then check the wires and try a bigger power wire, and make sure the ground is tight
