What is the budget? Amount of custom work and fabrication level they want to achieve? The 4-8G is that for equipment only or equipment and labor?

Most people I know add a dvd player by just adding a game console. PS2 and XBOX both have a Dvd player! Two birds with one stone!

4000-8000 is for Equipments only, please help us out ASAP,

also, i heard about Laptop Equiped? is it better than a DVD system, if so, it'll be great since Laptop can be portable => less chance of being stolen

laptop??
well...u never get the clean sound like playing directly from a headunit...

if i were u...id look into eclipse headunits..
their cd/dvd players are excellent..<my friend has one>
i think they have digital/dts decoders built in...so you wouldnt need a seperate decoder...<which save u a few hundred bucks>
also...do look into zapco lines of eqs and crossovers...
theyre high quality of course do a great job for ur sound needs..

for speakers and amps...
set a goal for ur system...and find the right components that meet up to ur specs...
