Is the Prestige brand of autostart a good brand to buy?

to be honest, nothing is wrong with prestige. its not going to be the #1 pick of security enthusiasts, as most perfer a DEI product (python, clifford, viper, etc.).

if you get a good price on the prestige autostart, I'd say go for it. otherwise, take a look at what DEI has to offer!

one more note...
installation of security systems is very tedious to the unexperience or lack of experience installer. roughly 99% of security/convenience system malfunctions are due to improper installation. when you leave your car with a shop, make sure to talk to the installer that will be working on your vehicle and go over all options that you want, and also mounting locations for valet, LED, etc.; also read through the owner's manuel and ask alot of questions to show the installer that you are serious and knowledgable about your system.
