5th Gen Audio install questions
So I am installing a 4 channel amp in my 97 Accord Ex Coupe and I was wondering what a good place to ground the amp would be? Seeing how the ground wire that comes with an amp kit is only so long. Thanks in advance.

any bolt under your rear passenger seat is fine. i use one of the bolts on the trunk frame by the rear deck.
you should use some kind of sand paper and sand the paint down to clean metal to ensure a good ground.

Where are you planning to have the amp? In the trunk, or in the cabin? Either way, just find a nice solid spot on the chassis. Sand the paint off of it until it is shiney. THen attach a bolt or self taping screw to secure it. If you are drilling a new hole, make sure you know what is on the other side...you dont want to drill into the gas tank.

So I installed my 4 channel amp but unfortunately in the process I fried my Headunit, Pioneer deh p6600, by accidently running my speaker wire from the amp to the headunit for the front speakers instead of the harness and turned up the voltage which fried the unit. Oops my first install, I wanted a new headunit anyway so I went and got the Pioneer 5900IB, pretty slick ass unit. Thanks again.
