Do you need the remote?
I just bought a 2001 Honda Accord EX. It has a built in factory security system.
I only got one key and one remote. I have another remote coming from ebay, and will reprogram the system (following the instructions on this site) to accept the remote when I get it.
But until then, I only have one remote. I have two keys (I bought another one from streetkeys.com and it arrived before the remotes) Can the new key be used in some way to disarm the security system, or do I need to have the remote?

The car came with a secondary thing that cuts off the ignition. It uses an RFID key, but I have to find out where to get another one of those.
In the meantime, it means that my Father-in-law can use the car if he needs to while I am at work.
