a little confused here....if i get two DVC subs and a 2 channel amp how should i wire them???? i was thinking of getting the kenwood kac 7202 amp and two 10" Kicker CompVR 05CVR102

k looking at the diagrams there it seems that i would connect the + of one voice coil to the- of the other voice coil on the same sub... is that true.. i didnt think u were suppose to hook up + to -

You're going to hook up + to + and - to - on the sub. From there go out the amp as usual. This is assuming they're dual 4ohm coils. The 7202 is only 2 ohms stable when being run stereo.

K click on woofer wiring and look at the first picture of the 2 woofer diagrams.. it looks like i hook up the + to the - on part of each sub.. and says this creates a 4 Ohm load and the 7202 is stable at 4 Ohms in bridged mode.. so is it really saying hook up + to - or are those just lines for no reason???

its correct..... well it depends on the specs of both

a 4ohm dvc can be wired for 2 or 8 ohms
a 2ohm dvc can be wired for 1 or 4 ohms.

the amp is 150 x 2 @ 4 ohms... and the subs are dual 2 ohms.... so the coils are wired in series ( + of one to the - of the other )


edit: i found different info on 2 sites

if you go the stereo route....

150 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (230 watts x 2 at 2 ohms stable) ... youre better of getting 4ohm dvc and wiring them for 2 ohms each.

if you go the mono route...

460 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms... the 2 ohm dvcs will be wired for 4ohm each, then in parallel for a final 2 ohms.
