no charger, but went to autozone and the battery is okay. But when we put the music all the way up, turned on the headlights, and the heater, the car turned off. Therefore he told me its the altenator. Any Suggestions on where to buy one?? Or should i just buy it from the dealer?

so for what exact reason did you need the cap initially? i say lose the capacitor and turn the gain/input down on the amp.

i also have a 96 accord, and i am running a lot more power than you do, let alone it's an 80amp alternator. i would start with bigger wires all around, 1/0 gauge preferably, to do the Big 3. for 3-400rms, i would use 4 gauge as your power wires but it's not reccomended for that much power. going with a bigger wire wont hurt anything.

i needed the cap because i had the dimming lights at night, that in about a week or two got really bad. I was recommended that the problem for that would be to get the cap. Got it then things got worse, so now im gonna get a new altenator, but which one? Is there anything around autozones, price but better?

this is what i recommend you do:

1. do the big 3( this one is for your car: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155355)
2. buy a better battery, if big 3 doesnt work(but it should)

problem solved guys, it was a bad subwoofer speaker, I called cruthchfield and told them that just recently it started to make a wierd crunthy noise, and they sent me a new one in today.

Problem solved, no more dimming or anything.

Guy from Crutchfield said that could have happened because when a speaker messes up they sometimes start to require more electricity to operate, that why I was having that problem.
