Default Ipod to stereo problem.

ok so my brother drives a 1996 GMC Jimmy and he wants to hook up his ipod to the back of his factory in-dash stereo. ive been searching online for the wires and such but i found a lot of different kinds and it matters what car you have. i took some pics of the back of the stereo so if anyone knows which cable, wires, etc. or what set i need to get to make it work, i would appreciate it. It is going to be hooked up to a NANO ipod. And we tried the fm transmitter and it was horrible, static 24/7. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

i hope these pics help!

no, but they make an interface that will plug into the wiring harness and you can have inputs on it, but i can't find any for a 1996 but i did for a 1998 and up
