Default iPod intergration 2006 Civic

I'm looking for other ways to intergrate my iPod into my car without getting a new head unit. I've read and heard horrible things about the Honda iLink. So that is something I do not want. I've been looking around and have found nothing. Does anyone know of anything that is out or is coming out to intergrate better for good sound quality and controls?

You just have to buy a new dash piece. I've seen some pictures somewhere. As soon as I find the link, I'll post it.

this is the connector of the XCarLink.
plug the connector to the CD changer port in the back of the head unit.
