any advantage of having a 15 for only low low frequencies and say 2 10s or 12s for lows.. and then 6.5s in the doors for mid and some little tweeters..?? just bored thinking about my next system..
Usually not a good idea. You would have to get some serious crossovers, and have to deal with alot of problems such as powering them, tuning them, and avoiding cancellation.
I really dont see any reason. Your 10's or 12's would be playing such a narrow range that its a waste of time/money/space. Good speakers (10's,12's,even 15's) should be able to cover what you need without a problem.
