Default mixxing sizes?

any advantage of having a 15 for only low low frequencies and say 2 10s or 12s for lows.. and then 6.5s in the doors for mid and some little tweeters..?? just bored thinking about my next system..

you could but you i think the best would be 15s and 8s, 15 and 10s would probably sound good too but it really depends on the subs

Usually not a good idea. You would have to get some serious crossovers, and have to deal with alot of problems such as powering them, tuning them, and avoiding cancellation.

Just go with one size or the other.

I really dont see any reason. Your 10's or 12's would be playing such a narrow range that its a waste of time/money/space. Good speakers (10's,12's,even 15's) should be able to cover what you need without a problem.

Stick with a single size and have them cover everything below ~80hz.

get two 12's and set the amp to about 55-65hz not 80hz

subs especially good subs will perform better from a 50-60hz than at 80hz i have mine set at 55 and it sounds a lot better than 80
