Default good stereo or not?
i was looking online for a new stereo for my car. I found a Jensen 7in, in dash, DVD/MP3/CD.....player for 500..i was wondering if Jensen in dash receivers are any good?

my friend was a fool and bought the $900 jensen and it crapped out after a month... the second one lasted 3 months... finally I convinced him to go with the alpine.

I would recommend either an alpine or kenwood model. As I have always used kenwood automotive units, I would higly recommend the excelon line but have heard good things for alpine as well.

Jensen has always been refered to as a flea-market brand.

if your gunna go indash anything for that much look into the Jvc Avx1 or avx 2

(avx1 = 600 or cheaper avx2 700 or cheaper)

if you want cheap but good

Alpine CDA-9856 (really good deck, probably best bang for your buck $199.00)
or a step up at the 9857 (bigger and better screen than the 56)
