Default Alarm Recomendation!!

I just bought a new set of rims for my 02 accord, and because my car comes with stock keyless entry, not an alarm. (but it has a pop up trunk key on the remote, which i like very much) so i'm looking for some alarm system to protect the car and the rims. It doesn't have to be top of the line, it should be affordable, and i'm hoping it has the features like 2 ways alarm, (the remote will sound if my car sounds) or pop up the trunk option key. I heard the vipes are pretty good? but i am clueless on the model...please recommend me some alarm brand or type. Thanks!!

Go to a local car audio shop or something of the sort and have them put a 2-way system in. Mine was $200 installed, and it includes keyless entry, trunk release, remote start, the alarm, the pager, and a few other nice features. Just pay a pro to do it and don't try and do it yourself if you're not a professional, because you WILL screw something up.

damn $200... that's a good deal for a 2-way.

total cost for my 2-way alarm/security system is over $2000. i kept reciepts in case i need it for proof for my insurance, which they don't know i have a security system, but in case something does happen. you'd be surprised at how much labor cost itself.

No sir, $200 installed. I live in northeast pennsylvania. There was an audio shop that wanted 500 for this system, but i found some guy in town that does them in his garage. The brand is called astra i believe... it's a really good system tho.

cheap 2 way pager alarm can be had for $77, and a really nice one for about $150. the actual cost of labor is about $60-90. everything over that is mark up / profit.

i paid $190 for my 2-way pager alarm w/ proximity sensor, dual shock sensor, backup battery, 3 sirens total, fuel kill, starter disable, remote start, keyless entry, hood/door/trunk sensors. took me about 4 hours to install myself.

you have to report things like that to your insurance company when you install them most times if you want to get money back if/when the car is stolen/wrecked. They often times won't pay if you come afterwards and say "oh and I had this, this, and this. Pay for them"
