Default sub or amp problem?

the other day i was listening to my music and allof a sudden my sub cut out, i thought maybe the ground wire had come undone so i checked it out but it was fine..so i unplugged the line input and plugged it back in then it worked for liek two seconds and stopped working again all the other connections are fine..and the amp power light is on so it looks like it working? so im wondering if my amp is messed up or my sub is going?

It's giong to be an anmp problem. Subs don't really just cut out and come back on. When they burn, they burn for good.

Is the amp going into protect? Chances are you are not giving it enough voltage.

Run a volt test on your power wire and make sure your at 14.4v while the car is on.

i had the same problem with my amp about 2 weeks ago, my amp was getting 2 hot because i was pushing 2 1200 watt subs with a 1000 watt amp bridged. i rewired 1 of my subs to not push as hard and it hasnt cut off or went off at all and befor i could only leave my bass up for about 5 min befor it cuts off.

i had a similar problem only when i would turn my volume way up the subs would cut out so i checked everything and come to find out that one of my rca cables had a broken wire so i replaced them and i've had no problems since
