Default Lcd Lights Wont Go Off

Okay, I bought an lcd for my dvd player and after installing it, the light wont go out. The Lcd has a red power wire, yellow acc switch wire, green wire(for back-up camera), and a black ground wire. I installed the red to the red power, yellow to constant yellow, and black to black ground. The dvd shut off after taking the key out and so as the lcd, but the bright lights on the lcd wont. Should I make a switch for the lcd yellow wire so I can turn it off or am I doing something wrong?

If you have the instructions you may want to recheck them but it sounds like you have wired the lcd power directly to the "always hot" wire instead of the acc (on my 01 civic the acc wire is yel/red while both the red and red/blk are always hot).
