Default In dash Tv question?

OK here is the question. I have a 96 prelude SI (Auto ) and the freaking shifter in park is like [--------------------------] this far from the Head unit. How in the hell can I make this work, im looking for a aftermarket shifter that is shorter than oem. I guess its time to modify? I need the shifter to be lower than the LCD screen.

Yeah, the auto shifter in the 4th gen prelude is a beast. What screen are you using?

Ah, I figured it was a flip out. So the shifter is in the way of it opening up, right? It was with my 5-speed lude so I'm sure it is with an auto. Thats why I went with one of Kenwoods flush mounted ones.

Nice is it a double din unit? Well I guess it couldnt be cause not enough space. How did you mount that one? Where did you run your dvd player from? Just wondering?

Yeah, it's a double din. I had to do a little modification to get to fit in there. It plays DVD's. To insert a cd or dvd, the front lowers down.

So the shifter is on the way of your's opening right?

Yeah cause in park I have no room for the screen to close. So im gonna try to find an aftermarket one that is shorter than OEM. With the OEM shifter off it closes fine. Or Im gonna modify one on my own.
