Did you say the code was in the glove box? The code I thought was supposed to be on the stereo. I am asking because my G/F had changed her battery and now her stereo is locked. I wanted to fix it but I didn't feel like pulling the stereo. It's too cold where I live and I don't feel like doing it in a driveway. Just to be clear. According to what you just said I only need to go to a good dealer and they will look inside the glove box (to get the code) and check it against the VIN then unlock the stereo. I went to a Honda dealership and they told me that it was either $80 or I had to pull the stereo unit. I was hoping that their was an easier way.

Sorry about that I was talking about an 00' Civic EX auto. I changed her battery and locked up her stereo. Now I just want to get it fixed as painless as possible. I could remove the stereo if I wanted but the key word is is wanted. LOL It's just too cold out here lately. I hope there is a short cut.

Bump for some help. Sorry guys I'm a newbie on this subject. Is there a easy way to do this without yanking the head unit on the civic.
