well i went to sounddomain.com. saw those lightning audios somebody tried to sell me, im guessing there nothign good.
well ok I see a orion h2 12.4 for 230 at sounddomain. also, there is a multitude of IDs, two twelves, both reading :

Image Dynamics ID MAX 12 v.3 one says d2, one d4
whats the difference? there both 350 after savings, whats the difference? it says on factory backorder.

how does the ID compare to the ORIon?
thanks

The ID Max is a hell of a sub. What amp would you use to power the thing? It likes power. D2= Dual 2 OHM. D4= Dual 4 OHM. Getting either will depend on the amp you will be using.

ID > Orion.

They're still on backorder?? geez.. I don't know what the deal is but I was going to buy an IDQ10 back in August and everything was on backorder then too so I ended up getting something different. Although they do have a dealer locator on their website, so if there's a place nearby you could give them a call and see what they've got. Good luck..

and wouldnt anything near 2000W crack the pavement? thats not my idea of a system in my car.

I wouldnt necessarily say ID > Orion... I'll put my system up against an ID system...
I'll beat whatever SoundDomain has for Orion prices if you want. and yes 2,000 watts will not only crack the pavement, but also your wallet because you'll need a probable upgrade in alt and battery/batteries. Dont even think about getting a capacitor b/c they are wastes of $. Stick to a 600w-1000w amp and your elec system SHOULD be able to handle most of the peak draw for those nanoseconds the amp needs it.
One 10 + One 1000w amp = plenty for you sound crazy? its not. port the box CORRECTLY and you will not only get the output you want, but also a good sound that will rival and surpass a sealed box.

seems like thats under 500? what school did you go to?
The school I went to did an OK job teaching me addition, but unfortunatly didn't teach me mind reading, therefore I wouldn't know YOUR special pricing.

Anywho, the setup that "b00gers" suggested is a really solid setup. I believe the ED NINe.2 amp is a much better choice. For one, if you ever want change your setup around, or upgrade down the road, you won't be stuck with a mono amp, the ED amp could power a set of components very well. Image's Dynamic's subs may not win a beauty pageant, but they shine in the sound department.
