Newbie Speaker Question
Will 6x9 speakers fit in a 2002 4 door Honda Civic EX ?

doubtful... most door speakers are round (anywhere from 5.25" to 6.5" diameter)

not without modifying the door panel to accept the larger speaker.

i thought they had 6 1/2 in the door and 6x9's for the rears

Actually, the 05 only has 5 1/4 in the door. But when we upgraded by gf's 05, we stuffed in some 6 1/2's.

would the 6x9's fit in the rear deck or would I need to make a box in the trunk?

the 6x9's should fit just fine, I have, or had rather, 6x9's in the rear deck in my civic, (97)

6x9s don't need a box. my gf's 88 accord had 5.25s in the doors, and 6s in the rear, all were round. juss uncover your speakers, and see what's in it.
