getting a brand new alternator will help,
good amp, all u really have to do is hook your set up to 2 things, power, and sound, what u should worry about most is power, bc its a tv.(enough said)
im not sure how u will have to wire your sound, but most connectors should be supplied

what brand flip down is it? i'm guessing its a car audio flip down. depending on where you mount it i would get power from your ignition harness but make sure you fuse your wires. its cheap insurance if something gets grounded and decides to blow. on your unit there should be female rca's for audio out or in depending on if your unit has a dvd player built into it or if you need a video source for it.
