96 prelude remote start

Default 96 prelude remote start

i cant get my remote start to work on my 96 prelude. it has a manual transmission. I can use the remote start when my foot is on the clutch pedal but not when im outside the car. Can anyone help me bypass this? thanks.

When you are outside the car and it will not start the car may be in gear?? I believe you are supossed to leave it in neutral. Hope this helps

yea, the car is in neutral, it just wont start. the dashboard will turn on and everything but the car wont start because i need to bypass the clutch some way.

you have to ground out your clutch so it thinks the clutch is engaged. i had the shop do mine and thats all the guy did.

well thats the thing, my car when its grounded, it sends 4 volts from the clutch to the ignition. The car alarm only reads 12 volts, so the alarm doesnt recognize the signal the clutch is sending. So if my car is only pushing 4 volts then the alarm wont see it.
