Default question about subs hitting

i have a 2 channel amp and when i run both subs into one channel each, one hits harder than the other. i then bridged them and they now are hitting the same, and a lot better too
i just wondered why that was
thanks

is the RMS the amps puttin out from one channel enough to power them both off that 1 channel? because if its a little low to power them both then the channel is trying to power 1 completly and the other sub is just running off how many watts is left from the channel....sorry if thats confusing i dont really kno how to say it in technical terms

at one channel per, they get like 350 or something like that and the subs can take 400 but then bridged they get like 900, not running one channel its like the negative from one channel and positive from antoher i donno i just wondered why it was doing that

it could have been as simple as just a bad wire going to the sub that wasnt hitting as hard as the other
