Default need some insight...

I just got my sub Alpine Type E

The box says its 750peak power with 250 RMS at 4ohms . Im thinking about getting this amp: Alpine MRP-M350 mono amp. This amp puts out 200RMS at 4ohms. Will it be good enough to power the sub or should i get a stronger amp?

With underpowering a sub, you risk sending a clipped signal to the sub. With only 200 watts, you probably wont be able push the sub as hard as it can be pushed. People will usually up the gain and volume to compensate and because the amp is already at its limit, it will send a clipped signal, which can mess up the sub. I would look at a stronger amp.

so correct me if im wrong... as long as the amps power at 4ohms is over 250rms then the sub wont clip? or a higher RMS would be better?

SONY XPLOD XM-D6000GTX i might consider this one here's the specs

Generally, you want to try to match the specs on the sub with the amp, so say 250 watts sub, and 250 watts amp. I run a 300 watt sub and a amp that is 400 watts at 12.2 volts, which is probably closer to 475 amps when my car is running. I turned the gains down slightly so I can turn up the volume a little more. No clipping, no distortion, and it pounds when I need it to.

In the end, that Kenwood is prolly the best thing you could buy for the money.
