Something wont turn on? First and easiest thing to check are the fuses. And once you mention sparks...I am pretty sure that is the problem.
1. Check the fuse on the power wire to the amp.
2. Check the RADIO fuse that is under the dash.
3. Check the RADIO fuse that is under the hood.

the radio and everything still works but my amp for the subs won't turn on
i have the rcas and they are plugged in
i was afraid that the sparks were the problem but i hope not
its still on warranty so i think i'll send it in with that
but alright

Is your remote wire hooked up correctly? You can take a small piece of wire going from the +12 power terminal of the amp to the remote terminal to test if the remote wire is the problem. An amp should turn on regardless of if the RCAs are looked up.

i went back and checked all of them and the power wire fuse was blown
i replaced it with a 30 amp one again and checked the rest but they aren't working still
i also checked my remote wire and it is still not working
two ideas i have
1)i shorted it out with the sparks i guess
2)the remote wire is somehow not connected right
a buddy of mine said i may have shorted the ground wire out so i don't know about that as a possibility

Have you tried that?
