Default Deck blown? Help?

Hey. I am preparing my 92 accord ex to be sold and i took the indash lcd screen out of my dash. In order to do so, obviously, i had to cut the power and ground wires going to the tv. As soon as i did this, my deck just turned off. When i started my car again, nothing happened...the deck is still (2 days later) "dead". I went out and bought a new wire harness and connected everything correctly (checked out by a friend who was in the audio bizz). Still doesnt work. He and I are out of ideas and before spending $50 or more, i figured id check up on here. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

check with a multimeter to see if there is power running to the deck, if there isn't check the fuses, if there is try grounding the deck to metal
