Starting trick, press deffogger to start...how?
the other day i was pulling a honda accord into work, and the car wouldn't start unless the defogger switch was on. a neat little trick, but also a "decent" theft deterrent. anyone ever do this with their car? i'd like to do something simular with my integra. how do i do it?
another good 1 is throw in a relay to your starter wire in the normally open config and then have the relay close with the push of the horn, simple wiring and who is gonna honk the horn to start the car in the middle of the night.
I have a How to on my website. i have used it many times. you can hook it up to any switch.

it might not be a fuel cutoff switch; instead, it might be a starter kill switch. the difference is that the fuel cutoff will require your button to be in the "on" position while the car is running. a closed circuit must be maintained if the car is to remain running.
the starter kill switch just needs to be pushed to start the car. after the car has started, you can release the button (to the "off" position) and the engine keeps running.
to me, the starter kill button is just as useful and less risky since you run absolutely no risk of your engine turning off while driving b/c of a faulty relay/button on your fuel cutoff circuit.
