get a roll of dynamat and line the trunk panels. that usually does the trick.

Yep I have that same problem with my acura, it seems like its not so much the trunk rattling, as inbetween my back window and the back deck. I just shoved a towel between it and it helped a bit, but the trunk lid still rattles. Try it, it's a cheap way to cut down on the rattling. I'll probably end up doin the dynamat thing too though cause its just too annoying.

Really its hard to say until you isolate the problem. Lean on the trunk lid and see if it still rattles with your added body mass. If it does, it can be solved with a layer of Dynamat.

Your rear deck could also be rattling, third brake light, and rear seatbelt mechanisms. Do you have a spoiler?

your spoiler will rattle. and besides the panels in the trunk, and the rear panel, it seems like theres also something else in hondas that rattle pretty bad. it sounds like its coming from inside the gas tank.

:dunno: it doesnt bother me from the inside, but with the windows rolled up and standing out, you can hear it.

do you have a hatch or coupe?

-if it's a hatch, try stuffing the third brake light on the spoiler cause it stopped my rattling.

-if it's a coupe, did you replace your rear speakers or take off the rear deck at anytime? usually those cheap plastic tabs don't absorb enough of the vibrations and the rear deck ends up flopping back and forth.

-one other thing, where ever there are bolts or nuts holding in something to the chasis, unscrew them and place some type of dynamat to both sides.
