I have a stock 1998 Accord EX speaker system. I noticed that if you turn up the bass all the way, it's there but not loud enough to shake anything. The midrange seems fine and picks up "some" low freqs so it's not totally pathetic. But I'm pretty sure it had more bass when I got the car.

My question is, which of the car's speakers are supposed to be producing low-end bass, and what can I do to fix it? I'm guessing one of them is just blown out or something.

 

There is no way a stock speaker from an Accord is going to produce real bass. You can fix it by buying a subwoofer to handle the low freqs.
