Default need help finding an amp.

what type of amp should i get to power two Alpine Type R subs. 1500watts peak/ 500RMS each? This is the only thing that is holding me back from getting those subs, i have no clue what amp would be good.

what kind of HU do you have? I know this may be trivial, but if you have the right Alpine HU matched with the right Alpine V12 amp, you can control the amp from the deck.

go with a ppi or phoneix gold amp

i had a sony cdx-mp450x hu and thought i would match it up with two 760w 2ch sony explod amp. the amps last a week and i don't think the 2 amps together ever put out 760watts. sony amps are garbage

the alpine type -r's come in both dual 2 and 4 depending on which model you get.

by the summer though i'll be able to spend roughly 500-600 on the parts and install though i doubt the price would be that high. looking to spend about 250 or so on the amp and the sub i can get for like 120 hopefully the sale dont end soon ....

:edit: this is the place im getting the sub and possibly the amp as well.

http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=369

whats god about this place is that i can actually pick up the subs instead of actually having them shipped save myself sum bucks.

phoneix gold is the way to go in true raw power. My friend had two 12" rockfords running off of it and they POUNDED. Very clear and crisp bass from this setup. With just a 300 watt amp.
