Need help with Kenwood receiver
I have an Kenwood Excelon KDC-X815 and it has the automated mask thing that flips to conceal the unit. Anyway, I get in my car last night, turn the ignition, and nothing. It won't flip. I press the panel in the right place and nothing. Anyone know what might cause this? I'm thinking the fuse on the back of the unit blew and the unit is getting no power.

that would be my frist guess.....check for the radio fuse. does the dome light or clock come on? if they do, it might be the fuse on the deck like you said, but they rarely ever blow.
it could even be a loose connection. i would just take the deck out after i check the fuses.

I just checked the radio fuse inside the car. It's fine. I'm guessing it's got to be the fuse on the back of the unit. All the fuses in the car are good.

Funny thing just happened. I went outside to wash the car, and I turned it on. The radio fliped and powered up. I lost all my presets, so I had to put them all in again. Damn, I wish I knew what happened.
