Default Upgrade alternator for 4th gen Accord

Yes, I did a search first. After 3 pages of hits, I gave up.

Do you know of a replacement upgrade alternator for a 4th gen Accord. Im hoping for a direct replacement, but with a higher current rating. I dont want to have to hack it in.

Thanks, Spy

i bought this one on ebay from alterstart. it's rated at 150amps. it dropped right in with no problems. good luck. he also sells one at 135amps. go to ebay and do a search for "honda accord alternator". it solved all my power problems.

Perfect! Thanks, any idea what the rating is on our stock alternators?

Thanks, Spy

well according to alterstart, our stock alternators are only 80amps. at idle, it will probably produce 40-50 amps. but that alternator from ebay will drop right in with no modifications needed. they were good in customer service too.
